Archive for the 'Durham Region Wedding Event' CategoryFree Wedding in Durham![]() Wedding in Durham A recently-formed group called ‘The Wedding Saviours’ is giving one lucky couple the chance to have an all-expense-paid wedding in Durham. Interested couples are given until February 28, 12 am, to make their online applications through weddingsaviours.ca. According to Brenda Holdsworth, the co-founder of Wedding Saviours, she has experienced being in a wedding that’s budget-constricted that’s why she wants to help couples in need, that is, in exchange for business promotions. Wedding Saviours is willing to support even the most costly expenses of the wedding: venue and DJ, flowers, food, dress etc. Holdsworth estimated that an average wedding nowadays may cost from $20,000 to $25,000. According to her, Wedding Saviours can lessen the stresses of financing a wedding not only for the couples, but as well as for their parents. It was last September that Holdsworth got this idea. She told her business connections in the wedding industry that it would be a win-win situation: by helping couples in need with their services, the businesses also have the chance to market what they can offer. It didn’t take much for her to convince these businesses to get involved. Life Shots, a company that provides a green screen at events for photography, was one of them. Its operator, Kelly Newell, jumped right in to make herself the organization’s co-chairwoman. Holdsworth said that if all goes well for The Wedding Saviours, they will be helping weddings all over Canada. |
